Are you in need of a logo?
On the surface, it seems that making a logo isn’t that big of a deal…but when you’re talking about logos, you’re referring to a design that not only represents who you are, but it also becomes your brand. It is an intricate creation, to be loved and cherished.
A logo is more than just a design. Within the intricacies of a logo, that design advertises, it speaks, it promotes and it sells. It becomes an entity that takes on a life of its own. To the artist, its almost like his own child.
When you think about popular logos, what comes to mind? For me, I think about those golden arches, the Dairy Queen symbol, Quaker State, Kelloggs, Coca-cola, etc. Our entire world is inundated with symbolic logos!
I create logos for a living. And artists like myself often feel like foster parents; a father creating a child he cannot raise. It can be a difficult thing to hand over a precious creation to somebody else; a special design that others will get credit for displaying to the world.
Logos might seem simplistic in design, but I can attest to the many hours the artist puts in to creating that symbol, and the many rough drafts that were rejected by the person wanting a very particular logo. The artist labors at designing something very unique, but also incredibly powerful and meaningful. And when that perfect creation is finally birthed, the artist must then hand his new baby over to someone else to raise.
But again and again, despite the pain, a passionate artist will continue to give birth to beautiful, special, extraordinary logos that he knows he will have to give away to somebody else to love. But creating logos is what I do, and to not create just to avoid the pain of having to let them go is even more painful.
Need a special logo? I thought so. Step into my office and let’s talk.
